MPLS PAUD Sehat Ceria: A Simple and Fun Welcoming New Students

BOJONGGEDE, BOGOR (July 15, 2026) — Laughter and excitement filled the classrooms of PAUD Sehat Ceria on the first day of school as 38 new students began their learning journey for the 2026/2027 academic year. The school kicked off its three-day orientation program —Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS), which runs from July 15–17, with activities designed to help children feel comfortable and happy in their new environment.

This year, PAUD Sehat Ceria adopted the theme “MPLS Ramah”, means promoting a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable first school experience so that children can smoothly adapt to their new surroundings.

Nurkhikmah, Head of PAUD Sehat Ceria, explained that the first day was intentionally kept simple and fun.

“Today, we are starting with light activities such as introducing classmates and teachers and assigning classes. Tomorrow, the children will get to know the school environment, both inside and outside the classrooms,” she said.

To support the children’s transition into school life, parents were allowed to accompany their children into the classrooms on the first day. However, once the orientation period ends, parents will be asked to drop off their children at the school terrace.

One parent, Noviana, was delighted to accompany her daughter on her first day of school and expressed her hopes for her child’s future.

“My daughter is five and a half years old. I’m so happy to bring her to school today. She looks excited and happy. I hope she stays enthusiastic, learns well, and succeeds in school,” she said.

Throughout the day, the children enthusiastically participated in various activities. Ice-breaking games, singing sessions, and interactive introductions helped them feel at ease while getting to know their new friends and teachers.

The children’s joy was reflected in their simple yet heartfelt comments.

“I’m happy because my mom has been busy working, but today she could accompany me to school,” said five-year-old Adifa after class.

“I’m happy to be in school!” said Haikal (5), a new student.

“I’m happy today because I have made many friends,” said Sajidah, 5, after the introduction session.

As part of its holistic approach to early childhood education, PAUD Sehat Ceria also conducted home visits for all new students before the start of the school year. During these visits, teachers gathered information about each child’s parenting practices, eating habits, and overall health conditions. The information collected will help the school design learning activities and support programs that are tailored to the specific needs and development of every child.

Through its child-friendly orientation program and personalized approach, PAUD Sehat Ceria hopes that all new students will begin their educational journey feeling safe, happy, and excited to learn and grow together.
