Days for Girls In Sumba, Indonesia

On this August, 2018, FMCH Indonesia held Train the Trainer training in Sumba, NTT in collaboration with Yayasan Harapan Sumba (Foundation of Hope Sumba), Days for Girls in Indonesia and Priscilla Hall Foundation. Kits were distributed to 60 female teenagers. Train the trainer included how to facilitate a training related to puberty, reproductive health, and gender issues; also how to complete pre survey questionnaires in order to get detailed data.

Training the Trainers was held on Monday, August 6th, 2018 in Foundation of Hope Sumba office. Helga Dyah as the program manager of FMCH Indonesia and the coordinator project for DfG in Indonesia became the facilitator in this training. The agenda were program introduction, facilitating technique and simulation of completing the pre survey questionnaires. There were 5 trainers from Foundation of Hope Sumba, Ms. Ariyanti Nona Ina, Ms. Debora Kambe, Ms. Susanti Nani, Mr. Kanisius Blikololong, and Mr. Fidelis Kosmas Akosi. The interesting thing in this training was men involved in counseling especially about reproductive health and menstruation for the girls. But no doubt about their capacity because they are the staff of Foundation of Hope Sumba, whom used to give education about health and education for girls. The training was succesfully held.
