Mobile Library

The National Library’s 2010 study showed that reading habits were limited in Indonesia. The greatest proportion was 55% of the population who read newspapers against 17% reading story books. Most childhood education experts agree that reading supports good knowledge acquisition and has a direct impact on writing skills.

The Foundation for Mother and Child Health Indonesia, known locally as Yayasan Balita Sehat, is committed to providing access to books, not only for the children attending our Early Learning Centres, but also the children living in their wider communities.

We operate 1 library in PAUD Sehat Ceria Bojonggede and 1 mobile library which brings books to the children in the remote and rural area we serve in Southwest Sumba, NTT.
