We are hiring: Program Manager

Foundation for Mother and Child Health Indonesia (Yayasan Balita Sehat Indonesia) is seeking a proactive and experienced Program Manager to lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and development of our programs.

The Program Manager will work closely with staff, consultants, donors, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure that our programs respond to community needs, achieve their intended outcomes, and contribute to improving the health and well-being of women and children in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that existing programs are implemented according to approved plans, timelines, budgets, and targets.
  • Plan and develop new programs that are relevant and responsive to the needs of communities and the organization.
  • Develop funding proposals and present program ideas to prospective donors and partners.
  • Lead monthly meetings and other internal organizational meetings with staff.
  • Support staff recruitment in coordination with the Office Manager.
  • Coordinate with consultants, the Foundation’s Management and Supervisory Boards, interns, volunteers, and other supporters.
  • Prepare program updates and reports for donors and the Foundation’s Management Board as required.
  • Prepare the organization’s annual report for FMCH UK.
  • Represent YBS Indonesia at external meetings, events, and forums involving partners and organizational networks.
  • Respond to volunteer inquiries and applications through email or meetings.
  • Conduct regular program monitoring visits to project sites, including Bogor, NTT, HERproject locations, and other program areas.
  • Conduct performance appraisals for team members under their supervision.
  • Identify and facilitate appropriate solutions to internal and external challenges or conflicts.
  • Prepare quarterly program and activity plans.
  • Submit quarterly program reports to the Foundation’s Management Board.
  • Supervise team members and ensure that their work is carried out in accordance with their responsibilities and the organization’s standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate regular mental health training and capacity-building activities for teachers and other relevant program participants.
  • Support mental health awareness campaigns across various social media platforms through podcasts, news discussions, informal conversations with experts, and other relevant content.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration across program teams, operational staff, donors, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform other program management duties as required to support the organization’s objectives.

Qualification:

  • University degree in Management, Social Studies, Economic, Business, or related fields
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working with NGO’s.
  • Experience in policy advocacy work at national and/or subnational levels.
  • Experience collaborating with an international research/think tank agency.
  • Experience collaborating with the national, province, district/city government agencies, and working together with local partners.
  • Proven experience managing diverse and disparate projects.
  • Experience in managing staff and understanding the need for regular support and follow-up to ensure that project objectives are being met.
  • Commitment to working with vulnerable groups in need regardless of race, religion or gender.
  • Good problem solving and written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work without constant supervision and as part of a mixed team.
